Here’s what’s going on this weekend and early next week. We have a lot of FUN planned!
For the 2nd year in a row, Marcus Marchegger will be hosting Bike Movie Night down at Capitol Automotive, located at 1000 N Plaza Street, near the intersection of HWY 50 and Main Street. We will have plenty of FREE Pizza, courtesy of Pam Anderson’s Straw Hat out on HWY 50! Muscle Powered will be supplying the drinks. Marcus searched far and wide to find the best bicycle film of all time, and I think he has selected well. Jeff Potter will be accepting challengers in a Tequila Dance Off, so bring your white platform shoes! Again, the festivities are all FREE, but please make a donation to Muscle Powered, or sign-up to be a member! Kid friendly party, so no excuses.
James Wilsey performing at last year’s BTWW party
Monday, May 16th is the first day of Bike to Work Week and the Corporate Commuter Challenge, and we’re having a party down at the Tap Shack to kick off the week! The Tap Shack is a smoke-free, friendly neighborhood bar with a nice outdoor patio. James Wilsey will be performing your favorite songs throughout the night as well. So ride your bike down to the Tap Shack after work this coming Monday and have a good time. The Tap Shack is located at 112 Rice Street, just two blocks north of HWY 50 in downtown Carson City.
And don’t forget the Veltec Warehouse Sale happening today and Saturday! Veltec Sports in Carson City, distributor of high quality cycling products by Lake cycling shoes, Descente cycling apparel, Shebeest women’s cycling apparel, and Vredestein tires, is having a big Warehouse Sale on May 14th and 15th, with 50% – 75% off retail prices!
